I feel your pain, summer colds are the worst. I realize that the autumnal equinox was a few days ago, but until I need a sweatshirt to go out and get the paper, it's still summer.
Regardless, head colds keep you from doing what you like and make doing what you must intolerable.
Wishing you a speedy recovery - there are some dreadfully nasty rhinovirus out there these days... how do I know, there is one living here as well, after taking down some of my good friends as well! I've been adding hot pepper to my soup, to try and roust the nasty beast.
Sorry to hear you are ill. I am also home trying to shake the bug that bit me. And, I will probably watch those Petticoat Junction DVD's, too. :) I promise to bring them back some day!!
Thanks all - just a cold, not the flu I think. Called in sick (which I rarely do) and slept for 10 hours. I came to consciousness feeling like someone was watching me, and I open my eyes to Barkley about two inches away from my face. He didn't snoot me, he was just waiting for that eye to open "are you OK Mom, have enough strength to get me some food?"
The Brain: We're going to a place where the sun never sets, the size of your wallet matters, and actors and actresses slave all day. Pinky: We're going to Denny's?
Feel better. I'm the typical guy that has always knocked out sick like Tyson. Lately, not so much. Ended up having to go to doc for bronchitis because I tried to fight it on my own. Silly men.
This is the earth. And this is Pinky. You can tell the difference quite easily. One is a lump of inert matter hurtling blindly through the void. The other... is the earth.
