  1. Ask Barkley what kind of cat? Kitten, full grown? Fun to play with? Or a solitary one.

  2. You want 20mm cans? I can probably get you some.

  3. I am with Barkley.

There is one exception. I want the Bambi Wellingon that og made...with a few changes. Maderia port or Marsala and wild currants with the mushrooms.

As for the Kittehs...We had to take one of our ferals to be neutered and adopted. He had contracted FIV...Feline AIDS.

  4. What a list! One question, why the Konus spotting scope? I'm in the market for a scope with the same specs and am wondering why you selected that brand.

  5. mmmm...potroast...

And I highly recommend a Keurig. They happen to be on sale right now too.

That's about all I can help with on the list. :D

My son asked for a tank as well, even drew me a picture--should I be concerned?

  6. Barkley's list sounds pretty much like my dog's, only Scooter would substitute a squrrel for the cat and want mashed potatoes to go with the potroast (don't ask).

    Dori,

Nah, I wouldn't be concerned; I asked my folks for a fighter jet every year when I was a kid.

  7. Great list. $9,999 and you only get one magazine? Only problem with that list is Santa would need to hitch a couple extra reindeer to the sleigh to haul it, and get an import/export license. ;o)

Hope you get it all, you deserve it.

  8. My what a list. If I win the lottery before Christmas we can talk about the Barrett but only if you'll let me play with it too. :-)

  9. Dear Barkley, I have a selection three kittens and one young cat for your amusement. They are housebroke, kid broke and dog educated, to keep it sporting so to speak. If you take all four I'll throw in an extra pot roast.

Brigid, can I recommend the .408 cheytac. or if Santa is on a budget a .338 edge.

  10. Sorry I don't have a cat for Barkley. Maybe I could borrow one. I don't have a tank, but take a look at my blog, and see if you could use the item pictured instead of a tank.

  11. Another vote for the Keurig. Amazon can deliver the coffee to your door, thus you make just enough with no waste. If you are the only coffee drinker in the house (well, that's me, and obviously you), it's great. Also, there is a drop in screen for your own coffee or tea. Excellent for that sudden night time cup o' tea craving.

  12. Impressive ”Wish List” indeed!

I crossed off one of my wish list items today that I’ve always had a hankerin’ for. I stumbled onto a “new” Harrington & Richardson single-shot, 38-55 Winchester, 28-inch barrel with a Williams receiver sight and a traditional globe front sight that included (8) apertures!

This was a new rifle, no longer in production that was marked down a hundred bucks!

I hope you encounter the same good luck with your list as I had today with my mine.

    Regards,

    Ratchet

P.S. I don't have any lines on felines for Barkley...

  13. Does Barkley want the cat to chase or to keep him warm? I've had probably 8 Labs over my life and every one without exception loved the kitties!! One in particular would lie right on top of the Labs tummy to sleep. Slide off? Climb right back on! Merry Christmas and a Happy new year! from a DITW atheist!

  14. Got a big orange tomcat named River who loves to spend cold days on the doggie bed with Tasha. They're about the same color, so in dim light it can be hard to tell just who is on there. I'm sure River would love Barkley, too, but 'twould break Tasha's heart.

Coffeewise, you might consider hand-grinding your beans and French-pressing the brew. I use a Bodum rig. Yum.

    Merry Christmas!

  15. I believe Barkley wants the cat for dinner, no? An "amuse bouche"...

Strangely, Trooper also had a tank on his list. Scary thing is he could get one and drive it if he really had to.

Me? *tapping fingers impatiently* Just that Springfield 1911 that I've been waiting on since OCTOBER...sigh...

  16. I'll also recommend the Keurig. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my wife is. Being able to make single cups of coffee is great. They also have k-cups for tea and hot chocolate. The screen cup for using your own coffee also is great.

My dog would prefer a squirrel and rabbit, cats are too stringy.

  17. That is quite the houshold wish list you got there. I think the tank would be a beautifully added touch and I can come down to give you operating lessons

  18. A cat AND a pot roast? Isn't that redundant?

  19. "Phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range."

  20. We like the Cuisinart DC-1200 and would get another. Water temperature when it hits the grounds is really important. It needs to be just below boiling, about 200-degrees (F). "If the temperature of the water is too low under-extraction occurs and the coffee will taste weak and with a sour flavor." And if you want really, insanely good coffee go get you some Hula Daddy. We went there in November, their coffee is like wine.

  21. When I was a kid, a neighbor who operated a sawmill and made pallets, bought a surplus M4 Sherman tank. It was equipped with a 'dozer blade but otherwise in original condition. The only de-mil done was to remove the breech blog from the 76mm gun and to remove the machine guns. The pintal for the commander's .50cal M2 remained.

I think he spent $250 at auction which included shipping to the nearest NG armory. Quite a deal even in 1960.

I wonder if there are any surplus M60s around? The USMC still used them in the first Gulf War.

  22. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. I hope you get everything on your list, even the tank. That would be fun to drive.

Hope Barkley likes cats. My daughter's dog thinks they are chew toys.

    See Ya

  23. So, what kind of coffee pot? There's coffee pots that are in my price range and there's nothing I'd rather do than make a fellow caffeine addict smile for Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  24. As for a coffee pot, Bing "Aeropress," I love mine for making one cup of really great coffee at a time.

  26. Get Barkley the Roast!!

    BT: Jimmy T sends.

  27. The Midway bag is great. Got one for myself awhile back and ordered a couple for my sons. Bags costing 3x as much can't touch it...

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Keurig Platinum (B-70) is the pre-64 model 70 of coffee makers! I can have my tar pit coffee, my wife can have her exotic blend...no waste. It is great!!!

  29. Well Brigid....might be able to fix you up on the 6 cavity Lee molds one, I seem to have a surfiet of them suddenly. Drop me a line with caliber and weight preferences please.

  30. Woodswalker - thanks. No, I just posted this to make some folks smile. From my family I'll get a gift card, from my real friends a hug and well wishes. That's all I truly care about.

  31. Brigid, I agree with you an what you really need but, 105mm wouldn't hurt either :)
